Things to do in Javea

Javea (also called Xabia) is a seaside town on the northern Costa Blanca coast with stunning natural surroundings and beautiful, traditional architecture. It has an attractive old town which is great to explore. It also has a mixture of sandy beaches and hidden coves which attract visitors who love the sun and sea, with plenty of opportunities for snorkelling and diving too.

The beach might be the main attraction, but there are lots of other things to do during your stay in Javea. The old town is a pretty place to explore, here you can visit San-Bartolomé-Church and stop for a tasty bite to eat. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are PADI diving courses available, over 13 golf courses, plus trekking at Montgó Natural Park. Kids will also be entertained with crazy golf and go-karting on offer.

Popular beaches

Perhaps the biggest attraction Javea has to offer is it’s coast with Playa de Arenal being the resort’s main beach area. Here, you’ll find various bars and restaurants dotted along a wide promenade as well as all the usual amenities. Playa de la Granadella is another famous Blue Flag beach in the area tucked away in a sheltered cove, the water here is calm and clear - perfect for snorkelling.

Eating out

The best places for al fresco dining can be found along the promenade, which really comes to life in the evenings. Stop for ice cream, pre-dinner drinks or a tasty meal at any of the many nearby restaurants or bars.

When to visit?

The best time to visit Javea for excellent beach weather is between June and September (although the area benefits from a warm climate throughout the year).

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
