Orihuela to Alicante Airport Transfers

There are plenty of historical buildings and places of interest in this little city, divided by the Segura river, all relatively close to one another. Orihuela Cathedral of Salvador and Santa Maria dates from the 13th century, built in the gothic style with a grand bell tower and 18th-century organ. The opposite is the sacred art museum showcasing exciting artworks and sculptures. Nearby the wrought iron balconies and ornate carvings of the Portillo palace, now housing the Caja Rural Central bank are an interesting architectural feature. While the Church of St Justa and Rufina, with its Gothic church tower, is home to the oldest clock in the Valencian region.  

Casa Museo Miguel Hernandez is the well-preserved home, now turned museum, in honour of the famous Spanish poet; Learn the tragic history of the poet and be inspired by this traditional dwelling and the memories at large within it. Just nearby is the Colegio Diocesano Santo Domingo with its impressive architecture, beautiful paintings and statues. 

Santiago Apostol church in Calle Santiago, with its signature blue tiled dome and ornate carvings, is quite beautiful, while the inside is an 18th-century baroque organ, the only one of its kind in Spain. The Rubalcava palace, built in the 1930s is a mix of baroque, gothic and rococo styles, and close by the Pozo del Cremos fountain was constructed to commemorate the 19th-century waterworks. Finally, an ideal place to relax and soak up the local ambience is Santa Lucia square, with bars and cafes to quench your thirst and sate your appetite.
