This traditional whitewashed village near Nerja is the perfect spot for walking, admiring the local culture and enjoying plenty of tapas washed down with sangria. Discover Spain’s Moorish history with a walk around the town’s cobbled streets, where you can see the ornate floor mosaics, and visit the old fort on El Fuerte hill.

If it’s beaches you’re after, the nine kilometres of sweeping sands which stretch along Nerja’s coastline are just a 15-minute taxi ride away; here you can go swimming, jet-skiing, snorkelling, or paddleboarding. Eastern Burriana Beach is the best of the bunch, a Blue Flag winning beach, with lots of great beach bars to try.

Top attractions

There are lots of places of interest to visit around Nerja, such as the nearby caves, full of cave paintings and the biggest stalagmite in the world. Walkers can hike to the Rio Higueron Gorge, and there are plenty of trails around the coast. Frigiliana hosts a four-day festival of culture, including music and dance, street performers and markets, which are all well worth a visit.

Best restaurants

By far the most popular restaurant in Frigiliana, so much so that the owner now runs cookery courses, is The Garden Restaurantá which has a terrace with stunning views out over the town plus a very tasty menu.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
