What to do in Torre del Mar?

Located on the southern coast of Spain in the province of Málaga, Torre del Mar is a popular resort for visitors seeking an enjoyable beach holiday. Enjoy a stroll along the beautiful ‘Paseo Maritimo’ promenade which has good stretches of beach, plus ample facilities for families with kids. There is a fun waterpark with slides and pools, a short drive from the resort, named Aquavelis Water Park; but do check first whether it's open as it does close out of season. If you fancy a bit of culture then visit the Centro Cultural Nuestra Sra del Carmen Antigua Azucarera which holds some interesting exhibitions, also there is a monument in the town centre which depicts a portion of the resort's history. There is a modern whitewashed church in the area, whose bells can be heard ringing throughout the day, plus the modest town hall ‘Casa Larios’ has some pretty gardens when in bloom.
