Why visit Torremolinos?

Torremolinos is a favourite destination on the Costa del Sol (loved by families, couples and young holidaymakers) thanks to the large beaches, lively nightlife and variety of attractions. The resort has a decent-sized British population, with plenty of pubs and bars catering to the British palette of pints, roasts and breakfast fry ups.

Things to do in Torremolinos

Torremolinos offers up a wealth of things to see and do, whether it’s sightseeing in the historic quarter or day trips to Malaga and the surrounding area - There’s something for everyone to enjoy. The main shopping street is Calle San Miguel where you’ll find souvenir and gift shops, as well as cafes and ice cream parlours for when you need rest and refreshments. If you are visiting during September, don’t miss the ‘Festival of San Miguel’ (the patron saint of Torremolinos), when there is a week-long celebration including street parties, parades and fairground rides for kids.

Resort Beaches

The main attraction in Torremolinos is the 9 kilometre-long Playa La Carihuela beach, located right next to the centre of town. Fully equipped with all the beach facilities you could need, including sun loungers and watersports hire, it’s a pretty Blue Flag beach lined with palm trees and a lively promenade.

Nightlife

Torremolinos has a good reputation for its lively nightlife as it offers a more varied night out than many of the other resorts along the Costa del Sol. Live entertainment, rock nights and cultural events rub shoulders with bars and beach clubs. One of the best places for beer is La Cervezateca, where you’ll find over 100 beers on sale, or you can go to Brit-owned La Mojito for a taste of home and some late-night karaoke!

Eating out

For the freshest fish dishes, head to the harbour and feast on the catch of the day at any of the restaurants located along the waterfront. Top restaurants in Torremolinos include Restaurante Avenida, which is popular for its paella, and Lanjaron for its tasty tapas dishes.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
