Don’t waste time hanging around at Faro Airport, trying to find a local taxi, pre-book your transfer with HolidayTaxis and you’ll be on your way to the resort in no time! Our private, door to door transport includes a Meet and Greet service, where your friendly driver will be waiting for you in arrivals, holding a sign with your name on it. Families can also pre-arrange child car seats for the journey.

Things to in Fuseta

The local market, where you can buy the day’s catch and other local delicacies, can be found on the road that runs alongside the river. On Saturdays, the market extends to include a flea market, ideal for finding little trinkets and souvenirs of your holiday. More shopping can be done at the waterfront, where there are a selection of modern shops.

The local beach, a stretch of fine white sand that borders the estuary, is ideal for sunbathing or paddling. Just a little further away, at the lagoon on the Ilha da Armona, you’ll find crystal clear waters that will tempt in any holidaymaker for a swim.

Top attractions

Fuseta is well placed to discover some of the natural attractions for which the Algarve is famous. Among them are the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a paradise for bird watchers that can be explored by boat or by kayak, and the famous coastal caves. The best among them are the Benagil caves, which hide a secret beach that can be accessed by boat, canoe or SUP. For a closer look at some of the local marine life, head to the family-friendly Zoomarine Algarve amusement park, where you’ll find dolphins as well as water slides for the kids.

Walkers can enjoy the wild and rugged coastal paths, such as the one that leads to the Cape St. Vincent lighthouse, or the dramatic cliffs. You can enjoy visiting some of the region’s historical sights in Faro’s Old Town, where Roman and Moorish ruins can be seen within the medieval stone walls.

Best restaurants

Don’t miss the chance to try some of the delicious, locally caught seafood. Tasca o Galo is a top spot for authentic, homemade dishes such as the seafood stew, and all at a great price. Another spot for some traditional cooking is Tacho à Mesa, while Sabores do Churrasco offers a more Brazilian-themed all you can eat menu for hungry visitors.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
