The resort of Aldiana is located in a quiet part of Playa de Jandia, the biggest beach on Fuerteventura. Overlooking the beach from its hilltop position, it offers fantastic ocean views and comes with all the amenities you could ask for during your stay. This family-friendly resort has a range of children’s activities, pools, sport facilities and dining options.

It’s within an easy distance of some of the attractive coastal towns, which are a pleasure to explore on foot. There are also lots of outdoor activities on offer, from diving and watersports to mountain biking and sailing. Golf courses can be found at Las Playitas, or guests can choose to simply relax at one of the onsite spas.

Top attractions

Every year, Playa de Sotavento attracts the crowds in to watch some of the world’s best windsurfers and kite-surfers compete in the annual championships. It’s an easy day out from the resort and the beach is well-supplied with tapas bars and beach cafes. If you want to have a go yourself, the beach of Playa de Mattoral is a good spot to try some watersports, with a range of equipment hire and shops and diving trips to join.

Another popular option for family holidays is a visit to La Lajita Oasis Adventure Park. Here you’ll find lots of animals to see, including monkeys and elephants, or you can try camel ride through the local countryside.
