What to do in El Cotillo?
The coastal town of El Cotillo is located in the northern part of Fuerteventura and has some lovely beaches for snorkelling, sunbathing or catching a bite to eat. Take a wander to El Tostón Tower, which overlooks the surfer's beach and the new harbour, plus has an art exhibition typically on display. Walk further along the coast to the lighthouse (Faro de Tostón) where you can grab a refreshment at the cafe and climb the middle tower for panoramic views across the lagoons and northern part of the island. Learn to SUP (stand up paddle), surf or kitesurf at the various schools available, or rent a bike and explore more of the stunning coastline. There are also segway tours and horse riding tours for another unique way to experience the island. There is a weekly craft market on a Friday and even a labyrinth to enjoy up towards the windmill near El Roque. Lots of venues have live music in the evenings, so you're sure to be entertained in El Cotillo.
