Things to do

The coastal town of Las Playitas is a peaceful, attractive fishing village that makes an ideal alternative to the larger, louder resorts on Fuerteventura. It attracts visitors with its beach, its outdoor sports and activities, the natural surrounding countryside and plenty of tasty food!

Thanks to the Playitas Resort sports complex, sports lovers here will be spoiled for choice with a huge pool, golf course, gyms and other sports grounds. The town is also a great place for beach and watersports, including windsurfing and snorkelling.

The local beach, Cala de las Playas, is a great spot to relax. A mix of dark sand and pebbles, with calm waters, it’s a good beach for families and tends not to get very crowded. Once you’ve spent the day in the sun, head to the small avenue next to the beach where you’ll find a varied selection of bars and restaurants, with outdoor terraces, where you can enjoy some of the local cuisine.

Top attractions

Take the three mile walk to the stunning La Entallada lighthouse, not far from the Cuchillos de Vigán mountain area. The lighthouse offers stunning sea views to one side, with great views of the mountains - an official natural monument - on the other.

Many visitors come to Fuerteventura for its watersports, specifically windsurfing. Thanks to the conditions, there is a great choice of beaches here for both beginners and experienced windsurfers, while international windsurfing competitions take place on the famous Sotavento beach here regularly.

Best restaurants

You can’t visit Fuerteventura without trying some of the local Spanish cuisine and at La Bodega, in Plaza Rambla, you’ll find a traditionally decorated eatery with an outdoor terrace where you can sample some of the classic dishes. Another popular option, just around the corner, is Da Luigi restaurants, which specialises in all your favourite Italian recipes.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
