What to do in Nuevo Horizonte?
The residential area of Nuevo Horizonte, initially developed in the 1980s, is located on the east coast of Fuerteventura between the airport and the resort of Caleta de Fuste. The area now known as Costa de Antigua is home to three 3-star hotels, private villas, tourist accommodation, housing developments plus vacant plots and villas. Nuevo Horizonte stands on high cliffs, so the nearest beach is at Caleta de Fuste with a seafront promenade plus cycle track linking the two together (an approximate thirty-minute walk).
Expect a quiet, relaxing holiday in Nuevo Horizonte with a few shops, restaurants and bars (Irish ones being the most common). The resort is mostly well placed to explore other areas of the island, and benefits from relatively low accommodation rates compared to elsewhere on the island.
