Palamos has some beautiful beaches, popular with sun-lovers, families and divers. Cala Estreta is perhaps the best, offering shallow waters and plenty of sand. Sandy Platja de Castell is another popular choice, where you’ll find the ruins of an ancient castle.
For obvious reasons, diving and watersports are popular local activities, but for those preferring to stay on the land there are plenty of other activities too. Aside from the beaches, which are by far the main draw for visitors to Palamos, the local castle ruins, churches and old fishing port are all interesting places to see.
