The resort is popular with Germans and boasts low hills, making it easy to navigate on foot, while still being close to other popular resorts on the island. There are many activities on offer in the area such as whale and dolphin watching, fishing and various water sports.
Nearby beaches include Bahia Feliz, which is not recommended for children (due to strong tides) but is suitable for windsurfing. Hikers should visit the Caldera de Taburiente in La Palma which is home to the largest volcanic craters plus Timanfaya National Park is also nearby with incredible, moon-like landscapes. Maspalomas is a town with a lot to offer including stunning sand dunes and golf. If you’re travelling with children then a trip to Holiday World Maspalomas and Aqualand Maspalomas Water Park are a great choice (check the websites for opening times as these vary depending on the time of year).
