When to go?
Ibiza weather is at its hottest between July and August, when temperatures average 30°C, so summer is the best time to go if you like the heat. Even as early as May, the island experiences daily highs in the mid-20s, when prices are likely to be a little lower.
Things to do
Take advantage of the crystal clear waters while you’re here with a scuba lesson at one of the driving schools. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, have a go at cliff diving and other exciting water sports on offer. Boat and ferry trips which ride around the coast to nearby resorts and to the little island of Formentera are very popular. Book a local food tour and sample some traditional Ibizan cuisine.
Talamanca Beach
Cala Talamanca is a long, white sandy beach that gently slopes into the clear seawater, making it ideal for swimming. A wooden boardwalk runs the length of the beach and connects to the promenade at the other end, with various bars and restaurants dotted along the edge. The beach is slightly less geared towards children, although still family-friendly.
Nightlife
Talamanca is perfectly located for those who love relaxing during the day and partying at night. Just a 10-minute walk away is world-famous nightclub Pacha, which boasts some of the best DJs in the world. Ibiza Town and all of its nightlife is a comfortable distance by foot. Talamanca itself has a laid-back atmosphere with cool beach clubs and classy bars. Holidaymakers can sip their drinks while watching the sunset over the bay.

Restaurante El Pulpo (or ‘the octopus restaurant’) has a great selection of meat dishes and serves up some delicious seafood, as you might imagine, including a seafood paella. For fine dining, head straight to Sa Punta on the bay, which offers fantastic sea views and quality Mediterranean cuisine. You could also try Ginger, which specialises in Asian food and the Patchwork Rooftop Restaurant and Bar, where you can try Lebanese cooking and cocktails served until 3 am.
