What to do in Courchevel?
The ski resort of Courchevel is at one end of the world’s biggest lift-linked ski area the Three Valleys (Trois Vallées) with 600 km of pistes plus 166 lifts. The snow here is some of the best in the area due to the north-facing aspect, and there are slopes to suit all levels. Courchevel comprises of six different resort villages, four of whom were renamed in 2011. There are some excellent restaurants and apres-ski bars and clubs available, some of the best include; Le Ski Lodge, Copiña, Le Catérail, Le Trempli and La Mangeoire.
Despite the fact that Courchevel is mainly about skiing there are other activities available for non-skiers such as; tobogganing, hot air ballooning, paragliding, husky sledding, snowmobiling, mountain walks, bowling and indoor rock climbing. There is also a new Aquamotion centre which features multiple swimming pools, saunas, spa rooms and more. Finally, Courchevel is also home to an Olympic ice rink for ice-skating and ice hockey.
