Things to see and do in Badia Gran
This quiet town on Majorca’s southwestern coast is ideal for families and couples looking for a peaceful getaway. Badia Gran is perched on cliffs that overlook the ocean, offering stunning views of the coast. Take a walk along the cliff side, where you’ll find various viewing points and lookouts that take in the stunning scenery. Continue along the walk to neighbouring Badia Blava, where you can take the steps down the cliffs to the rock platform at the water’s edge (and maybe enjoy a bit of fishing).
There’s a small park that often hosts a funfair, tennis courts and other sports on offer in the town and Golf Maioris golf course is only a short distance away. You’ll also find a small choice of shops, as well as plenty of bakeries, a selection of restaurants and some bars.
Top attractions
The closest beach can be found a little further north at Cala Blava, where a small sandy beach attracts visitors looking to relax in the sun or try out a few watersports. It’s a pretty, natural beach that’s relatively untouched by development. A little further north of that is the large sandy beach at Arenal. Here you can expect all the usual tourist amenities, with beach and water sports available, cafes and restaurants.
