Things to do
The Italian island of Ischia, in the Tyrrhenian Sea just off the coast of Naples, is a beautiful destination for a holiday. Best known for its natural spas, it attracts many visitors looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating break. Make the most of the thermal springs with a soak in the public baths or spot the streams trickling out along the beaches. There is a choice of spas, from the best known Poseidon Gardens to Negombo Spa.
The island is also popular for its scenery, a mix of mountain views, woodlands and almost 30 kilometres of beaches. The coastline offers up a choice of long stretches of golden sands, sheltered beaches ideal for swimming and snorkelling and little coves. The facilities are good, with sun loungers and changing rooms, and you can cool off with a cocktail at one of the various bars and restaurants that line the edge of the sand.
Top attractions
Ischia’s main beach really pulls in visitors. Spiaggia di Maronti, as it is known, offers several kilometres of sand and warm waters. Here you will find eateries, bars, deckchairs and boats that are available to hire. From here, you can take a little adventure to one of the nearby beaches, only accessible by boat, such as at San Pancrazio or Scarrupata.
The main sightseeing attraction on the island is Aragonese Castle. Located on a rock that’s connected to the main island by a bridge, it’s an impressive monument. From here you can see the island of Capri, then wander round the terraced gardens.
Best restaurants
If you’re a meat lover then you’ll enjoy eating out at Il Focolare, where steak and lamb cutlets feature high on the menu. You can also try some of the local cuisine at the popular restaurant, including rabbit dishes and homemade desserts. At Ristorante Pietratorcia you can try some of the locally made wine with your meal, and at La Casereccia you can sample some fresh seafood.

March 31, 2023
At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.
For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
