Why visit Surin Beach?
The coastal village of Surin is also known as ‘Millionaires Row’ due to its luxury lodgings and five-star resorts frequented by celebrities. Overlooking the Andaman sea, with white sands and turquoise waters, it’s a picturesque spot. Surin doesn't get too touristy and has a laid back, peaceful vibe, great for families. The beach offers excellent high-class restaurants and shops; you could also try a popular Thai cookery class.
Surin used to have a great nightlife, but things have died down considerably and now its a more civilised affair. The Plaza shopping mall has a good choice of shops, including high-end stores, souvenir shops and galleries. There are two markets in Surin selling a range of items such as handcrafted pieces, clothing, street food and more. Nearby Pansea beach, slightly further North, is another good spot for relaxing, sun-bathing and celebrity spotting.
