What to do in Benimàmet?
Benimamet is a good base for visiting Valencia, the third-largest city in Spain, situated a mere 8km northwest and a short 20-minute drive away. The Fira Valencia building, located in the northwest is a stylish conference centre which holds regular trade shows, fairs and exhibitions; It's the place to go to buy traditional Valencian tiles at discount prices.
There are various nearby parks in the area, located in the south-east where you can escape the hustle and bustle of traffic and crowds. Municipal La Granja Park has plenty to keep kids entertained as does the Juego Infantil Park. The most significant green space in the area is Parc de Les Coves De Camales, which has water features, benches for sitting and is popular with the locals.
An interesting nearby building is Los Silos, which was once an old warehouse and now hosts village festivities and events. There are a few churches in the area most notably Ermita de Sant Roc de Burjassot which is small but boasts a beautiful interior and exterior. Most of the archaeological sites are located within the city walls of Valencia, a short 15-minute car journey away.
