The famous Lake St Moritz may be smaller than some of its neighbours, but it’s home to a whole host of different sporting activities throughout the year. In summer, you can rent stand up paddle boards, go fishing, explore the lake in a sailing boat or simply enjoy the sun on the banks of the lake. In winter, you’ll find horse racing on the frozen lake, polo, ice cricket and more.

For skiers and snowboarders, the top place to be is Piz Nair. This mountain top previously hosted the Winter Olympics and offers an excellent choice of ski runs, especially for experienced skiers. Piz Corvatsch is another good choice, with a fantastic 8 km run all the way to St Moritz Bad. It’s also great for its ice cave, views of the glaciers and hiking in the summer months.

At some point during your stay, find the time to enjoy a meal or coffee at Hanselmann. This cosy cafe has an excellent reputation for its pastries and cakes and offers stunning views. Another option is the recently renovated ‘Kulm Country Club’ at the Kulm Hotel, where you enjoy a meal on the terrace after practicing your turns on the ice at the nearby Olympic Ice Pavilion.
