St Kitts Airport, officially known as Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw Airport (SKB) and previously known as Golden Rock Airport, is located north of Basseterre, in the southern part of Saint Kitts. It is an international airport which serves both the islands of St Kitts and Nevis.

What to do in St Kitts?

A Top attraction for many first time visitors to St Kitt's is a ride on the Scenic Railway also referred to as the 'sugar train'. Built during the early 20th century for the sugar trade, the 18-mile journey is now a sightseeing tour with open top carriages and complimentary rum punch. Another great day out for families is the Dolphin Discovery attraction; here you can realise your life-long dream of swimming with dolphins or just sit back and enjoy the various acrobatic shows.

If you're looking for some outdoor activities during your stay, then why not enjoy a hike or walk around some of the island's beautiful scenery. The keenest walkers can attempt the summit of one of St Kitts' volcanoes, the highest of which is 1,156 metres - Mount Liamuiga. At its peak, you'll be rewarded with an impressive crater, while the slopes are covered in the wildlife-filled rainforest - with plenty of natural trails for the less ambitious. Alternatively, if that's too much exercise for your relaxing holiday, why not try a casual round of golf at Irie Fields. You can marvel at the stunning vistas, or try the excellent Royal St. Kitts golf course too.

St Kitts has its fair share of pristine Caribbean beaches, as well as black volcanic sands to explore. The best of these are Majors Bay; a simple stretch of sand, free from tourist infrastructure. There are also Sand Bank Bay and Frigate Bay South which have lots of beachfront bars. Cockleshell, Banana Bay and Turtle beach are great for snorkelling. There are lots of ways to enjoy the coast, from riding the waves on the Hobie Cats, to kiteboarding, windsurfing or kayaking. Or see some of the spectacular underwater life by scuba diving in one of the many dive sites; where you can see stingrays, coral reefs and sunken wrecks. White House Bay is a particularly popular spot for shallow wreck diving.

Don't forget to fit in a little cultural sightseeing during your stay; one of the most popular places to go is the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site. The park features a 17th-century citadel with ramparts, cannons and great views.
