What to do in Bordeaux

Bordeaux is a city steeped in history and culture. The best way to see this beautiful place is on foot, and where better to start than the old part of the city, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The best panoramic views can be had from the top of the Pey Berland tower, or the Basilica of St. Michel. On a hot summer’s day, cool off at the Miroir d’Eau mirror fountain opposite the stunning Place de la Bourse, which faces the Garonne river.

Places to go

Many visitors to the area come to take advantage of the nearby beaches, including the pretty coastal resort town of Arcachon and the famous seaside town of Biarritz. If you’re staying at the popular resort La Rive, in Biscarrosse, then take advantage of the natural beaches of Lacanau, and watersports-lovers can’t do better than Hossegor, one of the best surfing spots in the world.

It is, of course, a region famous for its wine, so a trip to the vineyards of St Émilion or Bergerac and the newly built Cité du Vin wine museum, is an absolute must!

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
