What to do in Mykonos
Arguably the most popular of all the Greek islands, Mykonos, with its whitewashed buildings, churches, and chapels, has a thriving nightlife and no end of beaches to relax and unwind by day. Home to the most photographed church in the world, Paraportiani Church, with its fantastic architecture built at different stages in history, is a real sight to behold. The North side of the island has secluded beaches, and fewer tourists whilst the Southside has the infamous party scene and beaches. There are also windmills to visit just outside Little Venice. Here you will find ancient monuments and excavated ruins including the Temple of Apollo, the Terrace of the Lions, and the House of Dionysus as well as the Museum of Delos itself. Get lost in the maze of streets, restaurants, and bars in the aptly named Little Venice, which is a feast for all the senses.
