Getting to Vietnam
If you’re travelling from the United Kingdom there are direct flies from London to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi by choosing from these airlines: Qatar, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Cathay. There are no direct flights from Ireland. Airlines that fly in and out from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City can sell you an open-jaw ticket, which allows you to travel to both cities and explore the country.
Visa
According to Gov UK Foreign Travel Advice, until 30th June 2021 British Citizen passport holders travelling for tourism or business can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days without a visa. If you’re planning to stay longer you can get an e-visa online before you travel. E-visas are only applicable to British Citizen passport holders. If you’re staying longer than 30 days, get visa from the nearest Vietnamese embassy before travelling to Vietnam.
Hotel Registration
Once you arrive at your hotel, you’ll have to hand over your passport to hotel staff, who will be able to register you with the local police. Make sure your passport is returned and keep it in a safe place. You need to register even you’re staying in private accommodation. Ask local people to help you to register. If you don’t register, you might get a fine.

Then explore Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site with 1,600 islands, and kayak around the islands and caves. If you still have any energy and time left take a boat tour along the River Saigon to discover the local villages and try delicious local Vietnamese food.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023
At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.
For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
